AGM  Report:  

Our AGM was held on Thursday 26th July, along with the four officers, a total of ten people attended.   The outgoing officers were re-elected en-bloc.   Managers for the new season -  U8s: - Sean Dean assisted by Niall Clifford.   U10A: - Kevin Clifford.  No Assistant as yet.      U10B:-  Without Manager.    U12: - Seamus Murphy assisted by Jimmy Sheehy.   U14: - Kevin Clifford.  No Assistant yet.    U16:-  Jimmy Sheehy.  No Assistant yet.   U14 Girls: - Peter Stapleton and Timmy Kelleher.    Juniors: -   Without Manager.  

Resolutions Passed:    1. No increase in Registration Fees .   2.  A fifty euro payment per family which entitles you to a yearly Lotto ticket.

3.   One of the Lucky Dip draws each week will be specifically for paid up members.       

   
 

DEVOTIONS:

First Saturday devotions to Our Lady of Fatima, in Granagh Church, 4th August at 6.15pm.  All welcome.

 

REMEMBERING OUR DEPARTED:    

On the Bereavement Board in the Church, our dearly departed family and friends are remembered every month.   It is only when one sees the names in print, you realise all the members of the community who have passed away and it gives us a reminder to include them in our prayers.  The July list includes:  -  Sr. Mary Bennett.   Mary Biggane.  Stephen Chawke.  Johanna Chawke.  Bernard Chawke.   Margaret Speiran.   Mary Clifford, Kilmacow.   Willie Lee.   Bill Kelly.  John Sheehan, Banogue.  Bridget McEniry, Ballingarry.

LIBRARY:Mobile library will be in Granagh this coming Friday 3rd August, 12.00pm to 12.30pm, beside the Church.

 

      

KNOCK:

Tuesday August 21st is the 133rd Anniversary of Our Lady's appearance in Knock. It is proposed that a pilgrimage will leave Granagh Church at 2pm.

You will have an opportunity for your own private prayers then everyone will participates in evening Mass at 8.30pm and afterwards join the Torchlight Procession.  It is important to book now as the numbers interested will decide if pilgrimage goes ahead.             Please contact Kathleen at 087 - 2833804.

 

Upcoming Event:

Lady Harrington is facilitating a Fun Ride & Walk in aid of the Dialysis Unit, Limerick Regional Hospital, Saturday 11th August.

Meeting point Ballygrennan Farm, Ballingarry, at 3.00pm sharp.   Walkers will be given a route map and can choose a route to suit, entry fee for adults €10 and Children €3.   The riders will take a five mile route, no jumps and entry fee for adults €20, children €10.   Teas afterwards at Ballygrennan Farm.   All welcome to participate for a very worthy cause.
