Walk of Dreams:
A small number of us made our way to Our Lady of Lourdes Community Centre in Ballinacurra on Sunday last to participate in the John Giles, walk of dreams. Before the walk commenced, the official opening of their new astro-turf pitch and community garden took place. This was all accomplished by the local community and it will be a wonderful asset to the area. Both John Giles and Mayor Jim Long unveiled the plaque. Master of Ceremonies, Everest conqueror Mark Quinn led us off on the walk, sunshine all the way. When we returned John Giles met all the club members, took photos and gave autographs. Kevin asked him to sign the Granagh Banner and Seamus has a football with his autograph - which he is not sharing with anyone !!! Well done to our members who participated on the day - Sean English, David Bennett, Sean Murphy, Eoin Enright, Eoin, Darragh & Conor Clifford, Conor O'Donoghue, Eimhin O'Regan & Shane Collins. We are still filling sponsorship cards so if you wish to give a few euro, you are still in time.
Anyone who sponsors will be included in a draw for - four tickets to see Ireland V Bosnia/Herzegovina in the Aviva Stadium on May 26th.
