COMHBHRÓN:
It is with great sadness we sympathise with Brid O'Gorman, her immediate and extended family, on the death of Jimmy last week.
After a very brief illness, he came home from Dublin on 19th April, met friends and relations and departed this life for his heavenly home on Friday 27th - the last day of the Punchestown races !
One of life's true gentlemen, a quiet but vital presence in the shop, had a salute for everyone and enjoyed the banter with customers.
Jimmy enjoyed his gardening, a bit of socialising, his weekend breaks and his horseracing. If at all possible he might be able to pass on a few tips for the next Gold Cup.
O'Gorman's shop has some involvement with every group in the parish and have always been most accommodating and helpful.
The esteem which Jimmy and his family are held in was clearly evident by the huge crowds attending the funeral.
