First up was Aislinn Irwin in the Girls U10 1 Length Freestyle. Aislinn swam a great race but unfortunately did not qualify in the top three for the Semi Final. Brian Sheehy and Michael Sheahan were next off in the Boys U10 1 Length Freestyle again both were unfortunate to qualify from their heats.
Next, we had Padraig McKenna in the Boys U10 1 Length Backstroke and Padraig finished in 2nd place claiming the Silver Medal.
Orla Lenihan & Valerie Sheehy swam in the Girls U/12 2 Length Freestyle both girls qualified from their heats to the semi final. Unfortunately Valerie missed out in the semi final with Orla finishing 2nd to qualify for the Final where she took Silver.
Then we had Mark Sheahan in the Boys U12 2 Length freestyle but did not qualify from his heat. Eoin Sheahan took to the water then in the Boys U12 2 Length Breastroke and swam his heart out to finish in 3rd place.
To end the day we had 2 teams from Christ the Saviour in the Boys & Girls U/13 Squad 4 x 1 Length. Eve Higgins, Chloe Tangney, Valerie Sheehy and Orla Lenihan were the Girls Team. All four girls put on an amazing display winning their heat comfortably and then going on to take the Gold in the Final. Matthew Cronin, Eoin Sheahan, Sean O Connor and Jeremy O Connor made up the Boys Team this was a straight final and the Boys fought hard and took 4th place.
Well done to all the boys and girls for taking part.
