Tea Dancing: - The bad roads and cold weather kept some of our dedicated dancers away last Sunday. However, many of them did turn up and we had a most enjoyable evening. We had great music supplied by Pakie Moloney , Seamus Sheehy, Mike Tuohy and didn't feel a bit of cold after the first dance. As usual we had delicious pastries with the tea. Thanks: - We would like to sincerely thank all who support our dances every month - the dancers themselves, our wonderful helpers, Ann, Mary, Marian, Anne, Eileen, Sean, Martin and Mike for their dedication. Most importantly, the ladies who bake - Anne O'Rourke, Mary Carroll, Mary Morrissey, Nora Mulqueen, Mary Boyce, Mary Lynch, Ann Hickey , Marian Noonan, hope I didn't forget anyone. We are always being complimented on the delicious teas that are served, so many thanks. People are most generous and we have a host of raffle prizes each Sunday, donated by our patrons. Over the year we run many events - cards, classes, drama etc and our committee can be depended upon to be available for all these along with others who volunteer their time freely. We must thank Tom and staff in O'Gorman's shop for all their help during the year - they display our posters, sell our DvD's and are very generous sponsors. We are indebted to you all and thank you for giving your time for the betterment of your community. Many thanks to the Staff of theObserver/Vale Star papers for publicising photos and parish notes which is an invaluable service to rural parishes and now especially those who are far from home can keep in touch on line.
Wishing you and your families a very happy, peaceful and enjoyable Christmas season.

Thanks:- The Club would like to thank everyone who has helped out with the running of the club during the year. The Managers of our many teams, for all the time given in coaching and travelling to matches. To all involved in the weekly lotto teams, we are immensely grateful, it is not an easy job and only for this constant income the club would probably be in the red. We would especially like to thank all those who purchase our tickets every week, you are most generous. To the parents for their support and for providing transport to the matches. To all who have helped out at the field/clubhouse, cutting the grass, lining the field, tidying up etc,
we are very grateful. Finally, thanks to Tom O'Gorman and staff in the Shop, for facilitating us by selling our Lotto tickets.
Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and a brighter New Year for 2012.
CHRISTMAS LIGHTS:
Again, this year, Joe and Bernie Carroll have a huge festive lighting display at their home in Coolruss. As usual, all monies collected are being donated to St. Joseph's Foundation, Charleville. It will be lighting from 5.30pm to 10.00 pm daily, so bring along the little ones to see this magical display.
