Wedding No.2:
McMahon / O' Hanlon:
' Valhalla ', the home of Claire McMahon & Darren O'Hanlon, was a hive of activity leading up to their wedding on New Years' Eve.
The couple decided to hold a Black Tie Marquee Reception for their wedding guests and what a treat it was.!
Granagh Church was full to capacity and everyone was in great style. Darren arrived in a range rover xl, with best man Pat Hastings and
Groomsmen, brother Dermot and David Stapleton. Claire was late, but I'm sure she did it on purpose to cater for the crowd coming from Galway ! Her trio of bridesmaids arrived, dressed in black, in keeping with the theme. Matron of Honour Betty An Feasy, bridesmaids,
Shirley Mullins ( Claire's sister) and Kate O' Hanlon ( Darren's daughter). Claire's twin nieces, Sofie and Emily Mullins, were the adorable flower girls. Claire, herself, arrived in style - in a Ferrari no less. She wore a beautiful cream silk gown with a deep red flowing silk cloak, which suited her perfectly. The ceremony was conducted by Fr. Plunkett assisted by Fr. Lane and music was supplied by the Wright Sisters.
While photos were being taken, guests assembled at The Rock Bar where light canapés were served. Courtesy buses were supplied to take guests back to the marquee for the gala dinner at 6.30pm. Walking into the Marquee was like entering a ballroom, such was the decor.
A superb six course meal was served by Select Catering and their friendly staff. Claire and Darren cut their five tier wedding cake which was suitably decorated in the Granagh colours..!
Live music was supplied by the excellent ' Madhatters ' and once they began, everyone was on the floor. They counted us into the New Year in style. At midnight, we were served with gourmet burgers and jacket potatoes, which were so tasty. DJ, Pat Fitzgibbon kept us on the floor till late in the morning. Courtesy buses and taxis were laid on to take people home. All in all the day was excellently organised and a brilliant success . Many thanks to Claire and Darren and we wish them many years of health and happiness in their future married life.
