GRANAGH NOTES


COLLECTION:
This coming Saturday night, a collection will be held in aid of the Disabled Drivers Association.
 
GRANAGH  DEVELOPMENT:
Tea Dancing:     Our first dance of the season will be held next Sunday 16th Oct, 2.30pm to 5.30pm with music by 
Liam O'Sullivan.   High Tea & Raffle.  Adm €5 pp.   Looking forward to meeting up with all the gang again.
Fitness:     Our keep fit classes just started last week and we have felt the pain !   Aoife Hayes puts us through our
paces on Tuesday mornings 10am to 11am  and again on Wednesday nights 7pm to 8pm.   All welcome.
 
Computer  Class:    We would like to run a course of morning classes in the hall, if we have a minimum of ten people interested.
 
Grow your Own:     Equally, if we have enough interest, we can organise a course of classes to help you start your own garden.
 
' Mid-Term '  Camp:     Something different for  this mid-term.!   A chance to get Creative through Movement and Dance.  
Aimed at 12-15yr olds, ( girls & boys), we will have a three day camp on 2nd , 3rd, & 4th of Nov, in the community centre, 10.30am to 12.30pm. 
We have acquired the services of Lisa Cahill, a Limerick based dance and drama artist who performs throughout the country and
works with many youth theatre groups.    Places are limited , max of  fifteen in the class, so if interested please text Mary 087-9139902.

Lotto  Results:       
The Weekly Draw took place on Friday 7th Oct.   No Winner.    Numbers Drawn -  8. 20. 21. 28 .
Next  Week's  Jackpot is   €10,350.00 ,  with the draw to be held in the Rock Bar.

Lotto  Teams:   We are still looking for three or four volunteers to help out in our teams.    Each team is on the lotto, one week out
of every seven, which gives everyone a break.   Thanks to our present volunteers because without them the lotto would have to be
discontinued.

Athea 3 - Granagh 1.   Due to a number of injuries during the match, Granagh did not finish the game.   The team and managers
send best wishes to James Dore who suffered a broken collar bone and dislocated shoulder.
 
COMMUNITY  GAMES:                                                                                                                                                                                           Draughts Training:   Please note that there is a change to the times that draughts training will take place this Thursday 13th Oct.                        U/10’s will train from 7.30pm to 8.15pm and the U/12 & U/14 will train from 8.15pm until 9pm.

BALLYHOURA  BEARS:
The Autumn walking festival takes place on Saturday/ Sunday 22nd/23rd Oct  in the beautiful Ballyhoura countryside.   There is a choice
of eight guided walks for all abilities with a programme of social events in Deebert House. 
 
NEW  BABY:
Congratulations to Mary & Fiachra Liston, Banogue on the birth of their first baby, a daughter, Caitlin Rose weighing in at 7lbs 5ozs.
