GRANAGH NOTES 5TH / 6TH OCT.


CHOMHBHRÓN:
We extend our sympathies to the family of Bridget ( Dilly) O'Brien, Graigacurra who passed away  peacefully on Saturday morning
last in the Regional Hospital.    She was predeceased by husband, Joe, whose twenty third anniversary,  it is this year.   She is
deeply regretted by her loving family, sons, Dessie, Dan, Joe, Seamus and daughters, Pat, Maureen, Grace and Anne.  Also, sister, Kathleen,
 sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, twenty eight grand-children and nine great grand-children.
 Requiem Mass, today, in St. Mary's Church, Ruane at 12pm.   May her Soul rest in peace.
 
SEANABHÓTHA:
There will be a clean-up of the graveyard on this coming Saturday 8th October at 12pm.   It would be great to have as many
volunteers as possible.     
 
KEEP  FIT:
Our Exercise/ Toning classes are beginning this week with class leader Aoife Hayes.   We have a choice of times this year -  morning classes, starting on   Tuesday 4th,  from 10am to 11am.   We also have a night class starting on Wednesday night  5th,  7pm to 8pm.    All ages and levels welcome.                          We will run  a session of ten classes, at a cost of €45.    Bring a mat/ water.
 
GRANAGH  PLAYERS:
All those interested in taking part in this years' play -  first reading tonight Wednesday 5th, at 8.15pm in the community centre.   ' Tarry Flynn '  by
Patrick Kavanagh is our choice and will by directed by Jimmy Sheehy.
 
GRANAGH  DEV. ASSOC:
We held our AGM last week, the usual members attended.  Officers elected : -  Chairperson, Mike O'Regan.   Vice Chair - John Bennett.                           Secretary, Marian Noonan.  Treasurers - Mary Lynch & Ann Hickey.   P.R.O., Mary O'Regan.   Ballyhoura Delegates - Martin Carroll, John Bennett and
PatJoe Boyce.
Tea  Dancing:   Our first afternoon tea dance will be held on Sunday 16th October in the Community Centre, 2.30pm to 5.30pm with music by
Liam O' Sullivan.   Raffle and High Tea, Adm € 5 pp.

We welcome fourteen new pupils to the National School this year divided evenly into seven boys and seven girls.

ST. ITA'S  COLLECTION:
The total collected last Saturday night  for St. Ita's Hospital was €  276.31.   We thank you for your generosity and those who stood on a very wet night.
