This match was played away on Saturday 19th.   In the first half,  Daniel lobbed the goalie from the half way line to make it 1-0,
before the break.    Ciara was making great passes all through the match, hit the post even and was unlucky not to score.                                       Daniel added a second goal and Eoin scored one from twenty yards.   Padraig then finished off with two close range shots.    A good performance from  all the players once again. 
Junior Desmond Cup:    Granagh 2 - Rathkeale B 2.

John Giles - Walk of Dreams:     Granagh Soccer club members will be taking part in the walk on Sunday 27th March at 3.00pm                          in O'Connell St., Limerick.   So, keep filling those sponsorship cards.

A Committee meeting will be held in the Hall on Thursday 24th at 8.00pm.
COMMUNITY GAMES NOTES:                                                                                                                                           Talent Finals:  
At the weekend we had great success in the county finals.    In Caherconlish our U/10 s brought home Gold and Silver.                                        Our girls troupe of Molly Cagney, Aimee Tangney ,Ciara O Connor and Ellen McMahon took Gold in Group modern dance and                       Silver in Group singing .    Michael Sheahan took Silver in the Solo Recitation category and  then with his brother Mark won                                    Silver in Group music.    Pride of place on the night goes to Darren Curtis who won Gold in Solo singing and went on to win                         “Performer of the Night”  which  made history for Ballingarry/ Granagh as it is the first time this accolade came to the parish.                            Darren received a plaque from county vice-chairman Michael O Brien.   Well done to Jacob Butler who also performed on the night.
In the U/14 Finals Rachael Anderson , Sean English and Sean Curtis gave of their very best.    Well done to all.                                                 Many thanks to all the parents and supporters who travelled to support our participants. 
Swimming Competition:    The dates and venues for the swimming competition have been announced.                                                             The A Swim is in Askeaton on Sunday 17th April  (3-5pm).     The B Swim is on in Bawnmore on Saturday June 11th (10am-12noon).Any children interested in competing should c

Cross Country Running:   Training continues each Friday evening in O`Gormans field for all our runners at 5.00pmDraughts :  After almost five months of practice the big day has arrived for our draughts players.   Having come through a very competitive county competition it is time for the Munster Final.   Mike and Breda have left no stone unturned in their preparation and we wish them the best of luck on Saturday in UL at 2pm.INTERNET AWARDS NIGHT:
A gala community internet awards night will take place at the South Court Hotel on Friday the 1st of April.    Organiser Pat Fitzgerald is arranging  this event to acknowledge the activities and achievements of parishes who are part of the community internet links.   Some of t
he communities which are part of this very worthwhile involvement are : Croom, Manister, Granagh/Ballingarry, Banogue, Bruree, Kildimo, Clarina. Patrickswell etc.    The various participating parishes will also display their talents and achievements at local and national level.   It is hoped that as many parishes as possible will be able to participate in this great night of entertainment.     The very popular group,      * Mad for the Road *, who participated in the  All Ireland Talent Show,  will be the main guests on the night and will no doubt entertain the audience .                         The community website link is visited by people from county parishes nationwide as well as thousands of emigrants all over the world who are keen to keep in contact with the activities and news from home.    Full details of this gala night will be published in various news publications over the coming weeks.CAKE  SALE:                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Parents Association:    Once again we will be holding our delicious yearly event in the Hall on Saturday 2nd April, straight after Mass, 7.30pm approx.        There will be a large selection of Breads, Scones, Buns and Cakes on offer.   Last year it was a great success and this year the proceeds will go towards some new Software for the school computers.    Conveniently, the day after is Mother's Day, so no excuses !!       There will be teas available on the night and some surprises for the younger folk.    If you would like to donate some baking please contact Fiona 087-2050249.
