Awards Night: The Club held a very successful night of presentations last Thursday night in the Community Centre. Kevin Clifford,

club Secretary, welcomed all the parents and children and one very special guest, namely Jimmy Sheehy. Everyone was delighted to

see him and he is wished every success for the next stage of operations.

Earlier in the year Seamus Murphy( a Pool Supporter) told his team that if they happened to win out the League he would don a Man U jersey!.

So before Seamus presented capt Sam O'Sullivan and team members with their medals as League winners he had to put on the Jersey.

He congratulated them all for the great effort and the commitment they showed. He presented player of the year award to Shane Collins and top

goal scorer award to Gearoid Lynch. Once that was done, off came the jersey straight away.! Kevin also congratulated Shane Collins on receiving

the U8 Div 3 player of the year award from the Limerick Desmond School boys/girls League.

Next up, Kevin introduced the U10s led by capt Eoin Clifford. He congratulated the panel on their great achievement and a special mention for

Dean Kenny who won U10 Div 4 player of the year from the Desmond League. Player of the year was a difficult decision but he decided that

the goalie James McDermot deserved the award. Top goal scorer was a little easier, Dean Kenny could not be beaten.

Last but not least, it was the turn of the U12s led by capt. Seanie Cahill. With managers Timmy Cotter and Jimmy Sheehy they were a force to be

reckoned with. Training was tough, matches even tougher but they worked together and stayed focused. Kevin congratulated Kyle Cotter on

winning the U12 Inter League player of the year also. As well, four of the panel were included on the Limerick Desmond U12 Inter League side that

played DDSL in the All Ireland final - Kyle Cotter, Bradley Daly, Jack O'Donoghue and Edward Sheehy.

Player of the Year award was presented to Edward Sheehy and top goal scorer to Kyle Cotter.

Kevin made a special presentation to the girls - Rebecca Noonan and Aine Sheehy who have been with the club since they were eight, probably and are

finishing up this year.

Finally, a memento from the club was presented to Sam O'Sullivan who is leaving and heading to Galway. He was involved with two teams so Gearoid

presented him with a framed photo of the U8s and Eoin presented him with another of the U10s.

Overall it was a brilliant year for the club and Kevin thanked everyone who was involved, especially the managers who devote allot of time, between training and

going to matches, to their teams. He thanked the ladies who prepared the tea, sandwiches and hot food and the Development Association for the use of the

hall. Afterwards Pat Fitzgibbon got the disco going and gave a great send off to Sam. Luckily, they were getting holidays the following day.

Our A.G.M will be held in the community centre Granagh on Monday night the 12th of July @ 8pm sharp.
