Table Quiz:

The Committee would like to thank most sincerely all those who supported our Quiz last Friday night. We were delighted to have fifteen very

knowledgeable tables competing for first prize of €150. The winners, who positioned themselves cosily in the corner, were the Power/Hickey

combination - The two Anne Hickey's, Nora Farragher and Patsy Power. They very generously returned their prize to the club.

In second place, sidelined to the high stools, were Liam Houlihan, Willie Power, Tony Sheahan and Paddy Tierney.

In third place we had the centerfield team of Kevin Fitzgibbon, Seamus O'Brien, John Bennett and Michael Clifford. Thanks to Jim Chawke who

prepared the questions and to Jimmy Sheehy who acted as quizmaster. Many thanks to all who supplied raffle prizes, everything from Vouchers,

various bottles of liquid refreshment to Car accessories. Thanks of course to Nuala and staff for providing food and excellent service - no queues

formed at any stage ! Thanks also to Anne Leahy, Theresa Noonan and Carmel Clifford for collecting sheets and selling tickets and to Seamus

Murphy who sold the Lotto tickets in Croom on that night. As a result, the committee are delighted to announce a profit of €1500, which is

halfway towards the purchase of the grass mower. Again, they wish to thank everyone involved for the great night of entertainment and for their

continued support of the Club.
