TABLE QUIZ:

Looking forward to seeing a big crowd at The big big quiz happening in the Rock Bar on Friday 26th March, 9.00pm.

Very reasonably priced at E40 for a table of four and a great night of entertainment assured.

If people cannot attend on the night, they can sponsor a table or a spot prize. All donations greatfully received.

Funds raised will be going towards purchase of a grass mower. A sneak preview of some of the questions :-

There was no winner in the lotto draw this week.

Lucky dip winners of €20 each went to Pat & John Ballyagran, Eamon Murphy Croom, & Sinead Houlihan Lee`s Cross.

Next weeks draw takes place in The Rock Bar Granagh for a jackpot of €6,750.

COMMUNITY GAMES



CROSS COUNTRY RUNNING

On Sunday last we travelled to Rathkeale to compete in the Cross County Running Competition. First up we had U9 Girls 300 m. Representing the club we had Eve Higgins, Molly Cagney, Ciara O’Connor, Ciara English, Nessa Houlihan and Ellen McMahon. These girls ran a great race and received second place in the team event.



This was followed by the U9 Boys 300 m who also received a team prize bronze this time this team was made up of Darragh Casey, Keith O’Kelly, Mark Sheahan and David Bennett.



Next to line up we had U11 Girls and Boys 600m. We put up a very brave effort here as this was a huge distance for such young girls and boys. The girls received a silver team medal the team was Olivia Bennett, Orla Lenehan, Aislinn Herlihy and Ellen Murphy. In the boys U11 we had a huge victory with Conor Lynch cruising home first place and as well as this they also secured a bronze team medal - Conor Lynch, Sean English, Eoin Sheahan and Luke Flynn.



Its off to Athlone again for Aoife McEnery who ran a great race in U12 600m and secured a gold medal. Our victories didn’t finish there! Next up was the Boys U13 1200m. Here we had brothers Jason & Callum Leahy. Callum finished in 3rd place and Jason in 6th place. Callum now goes forward to Athlone for the National Finals.



A great day was had by all. Many thanks to all the team managers and supporters on the day. Also sincere thanks to the Camogie Club for the use of their field.



MUNSTER FINALS

Draughts U/10 and U/12



Next weekend will see our mixed U/10 and U/12 Draughts teams represent the county in the Munster Final. Best of luck to both teams and their two very dedicated Managers, Breda Lynch and Mike Sheahan both of whom have tirelessly coached these children over the past few months.

The competition is on this Saturday 27th March in UL commencing at 11.00 am check in 10.00am. Your support would be much appreciated.

Training continues this Thursday from 7.30 to 8.30 pm in the Supper Room Ballingarry. All players must attend.



Choir.

If draughts is not your thing why not travel to Sixmilebridge next Saturday to support the U/13 Mixed Choir who will be representing the County in the Munster Finals.

This competition commences at 1.00 pm.

Again thanks goes to their Managers Susie Butler, Noelle Dunworth and Theresa Noonan who have been working behind the scenes for the last few months.

Best of luck to ye all and we know without a doubt ye will all do us proud.



Art Competition.

Budding Artist Eoin Sheahan reaches the National Finals for his second time! He received first place in the Boys U/10 Art. Well done Eoin.

Jason Leahy also did us proud receiving 3rd place in the U14 Boys Competition.

Well done to all who took part.





'GOOD AS NEW' SALE.

The Alzheimer’s Day Centre Adare, ( Old Library ), are holding a ' good as new ' clothes sale on Saturday 27th March, 11.00am to 4.00pm.

The will have especially good value in new debs dresses, along with shoes, bags ,jackets and suits for both men and women.
