EASTER CEREMONIES:

After much work by many different parish groups, good crowds turned up to the ceremonies. Members of the Granagh Players

enhanced the Good Friday ceremony by acting out the story of the Passion. Later that night the Youth Group held a

beautiful candlelight ceremony on the stations of the cross. It was aimed towards young people, the language was clear and simple,

interspersed with music and song. The introduction was by Ina Broderick and the readers were Sean English, Rebecca Noonan and

Grainne Dunworth. Noelle,Theresa and Marylee had hundreds of candles adorning the Church. John Twomey made a wooden cross

specially for the night so that the candles could be displayed on it. The whole ceremony was so effective.

The ladies put an amount of work and thought into the night and it was a pity that more parents and children did not attend.

The Blessing of Babies on Easter Sunday was another lovely ceremony and they were each given a letter, to be opened on their

confirmation day. Have a look at the beautiful Easter garden set up on the Altar.
