TEA DANCE -
IN AID OF MISSIONS:


Granagh Apostolic Society are holding a display of Work in conjunction with a Charity afternoon tea dance on
Sunday 17th May.
Usual time 2.30pm - 5.30pm, music by Pakie Moloney and Seamus Sheehy.
Hannie Murphy's sister, Sr. Margaret King is home from the African Missions at present and the Society would
like to contribute towards her work.
We will have the usual High T ea and monster Raffle - all proceeds going to the Missions and Milford Hospice.
Admission is just E 5 and all are welcome.

Lotto results:
There was no winner of the €4,000 in the lotto draw this week.
Numbers drawn were 4.6.11.25
Lucky dip winners of €20 each were Thomas Hickey Granagh, John Scanlon Granagh, Stephen Morrissey Ballyagran.
Next weeks jackpot is €4,100


Junior:
Our junior team were away to Carrig Celtic in their last game of the season on Sunday afternoon. An early goal each
from Mike Keeffe and Pat Carroll was enough to take all three points. Carrig did get one back in the second half to
give a final score of 2-1 to Granagh. The lads just missed out on promotion with a third place finish, but not to worry
better luck next season.

PRESENTATION:

The club held their official presentation night last Friday night 1st May, in the Rock Bar. It has been a very successful year for the club and the
officers and trainers wished to acknowledge this and thank players and parents for their contribution. Many presentations were made on the night.
The U14s were the winners of the Limerick Desmond League, Div 2 and the Chairperson of the Schoolboys League, Seamus Kelly attended to present their captain, Niall Clifford with the Cup. The Club Secretary who is also their trainer Kevin Clifford, made the presentations to the team members :-
Niall Clifford (capt), David O'Donnell, Colum Noonan, Robert Noonan, David Condon, Alan Chawke, Padraig Lynch, Jack Walsh, James Donegan, Daniel Shelton, Martin Roche, David Morrissey, Mark Lynch and Cian O' Connell. Kevin also made three extra presentations - Top Scorer for U14s went to Jack Walsh. Most Improved Player went to Robert Noonan. Player of the Year went to Padraig Lynch.
Next up were the U12s who were the winners in their age group, of the Desmond League, Div 2 for the 08/09 season.
Presentations were made to team members by their trainers, Jimmy Sheehy and Timmy Cotter.
Damien O' Donovan ( capt), James Herlihy, Bradley Daly, Steven Hickey, Gerald Barry, Kyle Cotter, Seanie Cahill, James Dillon, Daragh Cotter, Jack O'Donoghue, Edward Sheehy, Aine Sheehy, Rebecca Noonan, Calum Leahy, Richard
Chawke, Bill Cagney, James McDermot, Thomas Carroll, Eoin O'Connell and Jason Leahy.
A special award was presented to Richard Chawke for his consistency in attendance throughout the year.
Jimmy also expressed his thanks to Stephen O'Brien for all his help with the team, it was very much appreciated.
Last, but not least, were the winners of the U10s, Div 3 who received their medals for last season, 2007/08 . Team members :- Kyle Cotter, Eoin O'Connell, Seanie Cahill, Bradley Daly, Brendan Lynch, Calum Leahy, Jason Leahy, Richie Walsh, James Dore, Edward Sheehy, Aine Sheehy, Conor Lynch, Conor O' Donoghue, Jack O' Donoghue, Sean English, Rebecca Noonan, Evan Daly, Cian Cotter, James McDermott, and Eimhin O' Regan.
Kevin Clifford made a final presentation to Seamus O'Brien, who was a founder member and previous Secretary of the Club. He thanked him
for his involvement and dedication to the club over the past eighteen years .
