CEMETERY MASS:
Mass for the deceased was held in Granagh Cemetery on Monday.   It was a beautiful evening and a large crowd attended.  The Volunteers, who are small in number, are to be complimented on all the work that was done to have it looking so well.   They also take care of Shanavotha which is a challenge in itself.    Thanks to Michéal for cutting all the hedges, approaching the village, a great job.

CHOMHBHRÓN:
Denis O'Kelly, Kilbeg, Kilfinny was laid to rest on Tuesday 13th Aug in Ballingarry.   Our sympathies to his sister Theresa Chawke, Ballyvologue and all his nephews and nieces.  Solas na bhFlaitheas ar a anam.

LOTS OF CONGRATULATIONS:
Well done to all our Leaving Cert students who have passed a major hurdle in their lives today.
You are wished every success in your future plans. There will be many ups and downs, with many new experiences and many decisions to be made -   Remember there will  always be someone thinking about you ............
If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
If He had a wallet, your Photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every Spring.
He sends you a Sunrise every morning.
Face it friend - he's crazy about you.
If God brings you to it ...... He will bring you through it.

LAPTOP  APPEAL:

I read of this appeal in the Kilcornan Notes, last weeks - a worthy cause.    Fr. Michael Murphy is home on holidays from Nigeria and is looking for laptops which he can use for training purposes, in his local school over there.    He can be contacted on 087 - 7072664 and will be returning to his mission at the end of August.    On the other hand, if you have old computers which are no longer in working condition, Paul Power will take them off your hands.

DYSPRAXIA:
The University of Limerick will be running a physical therapy project, an after-school class for children diagnosed with dyspraxia / DCD.    Each child  participating can bring along a sibling, cousin or friend to attend class with them.   For application forms, contact Amanda Connell, PhD, Dept of Clinical Therapies, Health Sciences Building, University of Limerick.

ROSE  OF  TRALEE:
Lisa Brady, New Orleans Rose, will be the Granagh connection in this year's Rose of Tralee final, 17th - 21st August.   Wishing her the very Best of Luck in the competition.   Her mother Rose and sister Laura have travelled over and along with all her cousins, aunts and uncles she will have lots of support.
