The jackpot nearly went this week, Sheila Treacy had three numbers,2,3,7,15, the closest ever, while Brid O'Gorman and                                                    Catriona McKenna  had two numbers each !!

COMMUNITY  GAMES:

Awards Night:

One of the highlights of the community games year for Granagh/Ballingarry is our annual awards night. This year it will be held in the                                                  hall Ballingarry on Thursday 23^rd Dec from 6pm  to 8pm. The winners of our art competition will be announced and prizes presented to                                                     the winners.Also our Merit Awards and the Elaine Cahill Memorial Trophy will be presented.     There will be a disco for the children to                                                   enjoy and spot prizes for the best dancers.    Admission is €3 per child .

Draughts:

The next round of Draughts is due to be played next Saturday. This round was postponed due to the weather two weeks ago.                                                              We have two U/10 teams and one U/12 team competing and we wish the boys and girls the very best of luck in this round.                                                               Team managers Mike and Breda will contact the players when date, time and venue are confirmed.

Upcoming events:

Registration for chess , badminton, table tennis , card game 45 ,choir and basketball will be coming up in early January .                                                                      If any parents would like their children to partake in any of the above competitions and would be willing to help out as a manager                                                           then please contact Anne on 087 9274241.

HAITI  QUIZ:

Many thanks to all who supported the quiz last Friday night, in the region of two thousand euro was made for the street children of Haiti.                                              As all of the O'Brien, Kelly, Leahy, McCarthy clan were gathered they made a point of celebrating ( quietly )  Maureen's Birthday as well.!!!!                                       While Denise was able to make it all the way down from Dublin , William and Lisa flew all the way from Australia to be there on the night.

BIRTHDAY:

Congratulations and Happy Birthday to Michael Carroll who  kept the Rock Bar rocking on Saturday night for his celebrations. 

CAROL SERVICE:  

Granagh National School children will be presenting their annual carol service on Tuesday 21st at 8pm, everyone welcome.
