If you have had any involvement with Ballingarry/Granagh Community Games over the past 3-4 years, you will have met our esteemed secretary Anne Higgins. Anne’s organisational skills and efficiency are well renowned within the club but now her abilities have been recognised by County and she was awarded the Secretary of the Year award at the County AGM in Woodlands House Hotel last Sunday evening. TEA DANCING:Our first tea dance of the season got off to a great start, with over sixty people attending. All our old friends were back,
looking well after the Summer and we had a few new faces too, which was great. ' The Nightingales ' as usual provided
excellent dancing music. Many thanks to all those who brought spot prizes, and the ladies who supplied the lovely
home baking, people are so generous. The committee were all back on duty again, except Sean, who probably had
to go racing ! Nora O'Keeffe, as usual, was on hand to record it all on her camera.
COLLECTION:
The collection held last Saturday night for the Disabled Drivers Assoc. amounted to € 145.00.
They sincerely appreciate the donations, especially during these times of recession. Míle Míle Buiochas.
COFFEE MORNING:
Grainne, Jim and Eileen Noonan would like to thank most sincerely all those who supported the coffee morning last
Saturday in aid of the transition year trip to Calcutta.
