STAMPS  FOR  AFRICA:
A sister from the Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa recently spoke at our masses and one way of helping was to send them
your used stamps.  They do marvelous work caring for street children, AIDS patients, the sick and elderly as well as leadership and
formation training education.  Please post your stamps to  " The Franciscan Missionary Sisters, 34 Gilford Rd., Dublin 4."

3  CHOIRS  FOR ST. JOHNS:
The three parish choirs, Granagh, Ballingarry and Youth Choir, have been invited to  St. John's Cathedral  to take part in a national
celebration mass on Sunday 7th November.   Mother Mary McKillopp, the foundress of the Sisters of St. Joseph, will be canonised on
17th October, in Rome.   Over seven hundred Irish women left this country to join her in Australia and New Zealand and now there is a
foundation of Sisters in Ireland.   Celebrations will take place all around the country and as Sr. Margaret is based here, the community will
celebrate in Limerick along with everyone who wishes to attend.   For this event we will have a separate organist, Roisin Sexton, Lisduane,
new to the parish and a very talented lady she is.
To prepare, we will be learning some new hymns so will need as many voices as possible to help out ( males included).   Everyone welcome
to the choir practices on Tuesdays at 8pm in Granagh Church.

BEST  WISHES:
As you read this, Jimmy Sheehy should be having his long awaited operation today.   Everyone wishes him well and hope the operation
is successful.
