END OF YEAR CONCERT:
Susie's guitar classes put on a great show in the community centre last Tuesday evening. The parents can be
very proud of their children, what an array of upcoming talent we have ! As well as learning the guitar, they get the
opportunity to play the Bongos, the Jimba ( African drum), Electric guitars and sing the songs also.
First on stage were the beginners, who have only been playing since last September and gave a great performance:-
Norina Broderick, Olivia Bennett, Shauna Cagney, Jack Cagney, Leanne Herlihy, Brendan Lynch, Rhianne Martin,
David O'Connell and Cathal O'Keeffe. Shauna sang ' Lean on Me' , Norina and Rhianne sang ' Stuck in the
Middle', followed by Olivia singing ' Mamma Mia', with their class backing them. To finish off Jack and Cathal played
and sang ' I can be your Hero '.
The Intermediate class took to the stage next :- Thea Broderick, Jackie Chawke, Hanora Condon, Steven Hickey,
Christine Lynch, Jennifer Noonan, Eoin O'Connell, Eimhin O'Regan and Patrick Shelton.
The group began with ' I'm Yours' . Thea and Steven sang ' Boulevard of Broken Dreams' followed by Steven on his own
singing ' Wonderwall ' . Cathal and Patrick sang and played Greenday's ~ ' The Time of Your Life '. Then we had the girls,
Christine, Jennifer and Jackie singing and playing the Counting Crows song ~ ' Accidently in Love ' and Jennifer finished off
with that lovely song ' The Climb '.
Next Lauren Clancy sang and played beautifully, the Mary Black song ~ ' Bright Blue Rose ' .
Finally we had the Senior group :- Lauren Clancy, Alan Chawke, James Donegan, Tara Enright, Claire Enright, Katie Ford,
Laura Kelly, Grainne Noonan and Isabelle O'Mara.
They began with ' Dancing in the Moonlight ' and ' Moondance '. The trio of Isabelle, Lauren and Alan sang ' Broken Strings '
followed by Laura, Claire and Tara singing Taylor Swift's ~ ' Love Story '.
To finish off, the three classes got together for the grand finale ' I'll be there for You ' from Friends.
Congratulations and well done to everyone, keep up the practicing, it is really paying off.
