DEVELOPMENT ASSOC:

Committee Meeting will be held at in the Community Centre, Thursday 10th Dec at 8 pm - after Ear to the Ground !!
The room off-stage has now been completed and is totally unrecognisable from the store room it once was. A container was
purchased and all the spare chairs are now stored there. A new WC was built and installed by Eamon McMahon and Mike O'Regan,
Denis Noonan looked after the wiring, Marian re painted the whole lot and the floor was sanded and varnished.

GRANAGH UTD. F.C.

E.G.M. - A special meeting was called on Tuesday 1st Dec in the clubhouse to discuss the club lotto and the changes that would
have to be made. As everyone knows it takes allot of effort and money to keep a club running smoothly and the lotto is one of the main
reasons why the club can continue to grow. The money is used to pay ESB bills, public liability insurance, maintenance of the field,
car park, lights, purchase of extra medals, purchase of light refreshments for schoolboy blitzes, and finally the purchase of footballs,
goal nets, corner flags, cones, ladders etc.
As it was, the total running of the lotto was being left to Kevin Clifford and Seamus Murphy. Each and every Friday night they had to
call to the three bars, sell the tickets, do the draw and record the winners. They had no subs, no break, they both coach teams and both
are officers, the workload is just too much for two people.
After a discussion, it was decided to set up a rota for each month with teams of three, to sell the lotto. Volunteers for December are
Darren & Dermot O'Hanlon and Seamus O'Brien. As there were only thirteen at the meeting, we hope that more parents/players will
volunteer for the rota. It would be ideal if there were enough teams for the year which would give everyone a good break.
Next item for discussion was that meetings should be held regularly, so it was decided to meet on the first Tuesday of each month.
The position of assistant secretary has become vacant, Seamus O'Brien was nominated for the job and he agreed to take it on.
Before the meeting finished, Kevin wished to acknowledge that all managers are doing a great job from U8s up to Junior. He thanked
the Junior managers for the work they are doing in keeping the field cut.
Lotto results:
There was no winner in the lotto draw this week.
Numbers drawn were 13.15.17.30
Lucky dip winners of €20 each went to Ben O` Gorman, Stuart Higgins, Dylan Frawley.
Next weeks draw takes place in Bennis Bar Ballyagran for a jackpot of €6,050.

U12 Limerick Desmond:
Congratulations to Edward Sheehy, Jack O` Donoghue and Kyle Cotter who all started for Limerick Desmond last Sunday against
Clare in the opening game of the Inter League. Limerick Desmond had a very convincing 6-0 victory with Edward Sheehy getting
his name on the score sheet with a very well taken goal. Keep up the good work boys and best of luck for the future.

Community Games:

Draughts - On Sunday morning last 6th Dec our U12 Panel made their competitive debut in the draughts competition 2010.
The venue was Ballingarry, with the hall in impeccable condition.

Team B – this team Mark Shelton, Eoin Cronin, Eve Butler, Kenneth O’Flaherty and Rhianne Martin who were new to the panel put in
super performances but after some great games did not qualify for the next day. A great panel who at training were always willing to
learn and will have learnt a great deal which will stand to them next year. Best of luck to Killmallock and Croagh Kilfinny who qualified from
this group.

Team A – This team Conor Lynch, Sean English, Cailinn Noonan, Maurice Noonan, Kevin Noonan, Sean O’Connor and Siobhan Toomey,
put in super efforts and came out victorious over Feenangh/Kilmeedy and Croagh/Kilfinny and drew with Kildimo/Pallaskenry qualifying for
the next round. It has to be said that for this team to progress in the next round efforts at training will have to be intensified and a lot of work
will have to be done at home.

Training continues this Thursday Night in the Hall Ballingarry from 7 pm to 7.45 for U/10’s Boys and Girls and from 7.45 to 8.30 for older children
