GRANAGH PLAYERS.
They are Back Again !!!

We are all delighted to be able to do this last night and out of it we will be
able to purchase IT equipment for the National School.
Jimmy Sheehy will be gathering his troops together for a last rehearsal on Thursday night
and I'm sure he will have them in rare form for their last performance.
Already I have had bookings from people who are travelling distances, so if you havn't got
the chance to see the Play already, be sure not to miss this opportunity.
A great nights' entertainment assured with plenty of laughs and great acting.
Also, will have a whole host of prizes for the Raffle, most generously donated.
We will have the remaining DVDs on sale that night as well.

TEA DANCING

Thanks to all our helpers and dancers for a very enjoyable afternoon last Sunday. Delighted to see
the crowd on the Ballingarry Bus arriving. Many thanks to all those who brought prizes for our
Raffle and a special thanks to the ladies who supplied their beautiful homemade pastries.
Pakie Moloney and Seamus Sheehy supplied our music and were highly complemented by our
dancers. Mrs. Lynch had a great run of luck on Sunday, picking up prizes at the dance and
then again later on, at Grease in Banogue.

GRANAGH Utd. F. C.

Lotto Results: There was no winner of the E 2,900. in the lotto draw this week.
Numbers drawn were 10, 14, 19, 30.
Lucky dip winners of E 20 each were Niall Clifford, Granagh, Joe Carroll, Granagh, Seamus Sheahan, Croom.
Next weeks jackpot is E 3,000.

U14:
On Saturday 14th our U14 team were away to Bally Rovers. Our lads were forced to defend hard in the opening
ten minutes as Bally pressed forward very well. When we settled we started to bring our wingers into the game
more, which resulted in a Padraig Lynch goal that he took very well to make the half time score 1 - 0 to Granagh.
Early in the second half Marty Roche was denied by the crossbar only for Alan Chawke to tap in the rebound
from close range.
shortly after Marty got his reward when he slotted home a fine shot to make it three for Granagh and with two
great goals from Daniel Shelton and one from Jack Walsh. The final score was 6 - 0 to Granagh.

Junior:
On Sunday the 15th, the Junior team were away to premier Div side Broadford Utd, in the first round of the
Demond Cup. The lads got stuck in from the start and gave the premier side plenty to deal with in the opening
twenty minutes. However, with a goal for Broadford against the run of play, the half time score favoured the hosts 1 - 0.
Granagh used the wings with great effect in the second half, in search of the equaliser, but with Broadfords' goalkeeper
making a few important saves and their back four defending very well, the goal never came. And so Broadford
progress to the next round, we wish them the best of luck.

BANOGUE:

Well done to the Producer, Cast and Crew of ' Grease ' which finished up last Sunday night. It was a benefit night
for Seamus Geehan and they raised over E 3,000, which was fantastic.
On Saturday 21st the West Senior Scór Finals will be held in their community centre so best of luck to all the
competitors.
