Over €50,000 has been spent on  the Community Centre since last Autumn with grant-aid from Ballyhoura Development.

COMMUNITY  GAMES:
The Community games AGM took place last Thursday night in the Supper room in Ballingarry.   There was a great turnout, hopefully a sign of another successful year to come.   Michael Sheahan chaired the meeting and thanked the outgoing officers for a very successful year.
The election of the new officers are as follows:    Chairperson – Eddie Houlihan.   Vice Chair- Ger Hanley.  Secretary – Anne Higgins.                       Assistant Secretaries – Marie Bennett & Chris McGrath.   PRO – Loraine Irwin.   Treasurer – Robbie Thompstone.                                                      Assistant Treasurers – Margaret Casey &  Patricia Flynn.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   The Community games is a fantastic organisation within our parish and we look forward to the coming year's competitions with  help from families of the  children involved in the games.
FASHION  SHOW:
Friday 19th  October.  If you are looking for somewhere to go, call to the Charleville Park Hotel for the Banogue GAA Fashion Show.   Cheese & Wine Reception at 7.00pm while you checkout the stands and village fair beforehand.  Over sixteen boutiques and fashion houses taking part with a goodie bag included, all for €20.
GRANAGH  PLAYERS:
Delighted to say that Granagh Players are back rehearsing for another production.     Jimmy Sheehy has been reading plays all Summer and  eventually decided on one.    He has returned to the writer of  'The Shaughraun', Dion Boucicault for another of his witty plays -  this one is called                                   ' London Assurance ' .    The title doesn't give any clue as to the story apart from being set in London around 1840.   We will have to read it a few times to find out the true story.
