GRANAGH NOTES - 14/15 Mar


St. PATRICK'S  DAY:
Masses:    Granagh:   Friday Night 16th -   7.00pm.            Ballingarry:   Saturday 17th - 10.30am.                                                     Rosary at St. Patrick's Well at 11.30am, immediately after Mass.

The John Prendergast Show on Live 95FM, Saturday morning 8am to 10am, will be focusing on all the Irish connections abroad for the day that's in it.
TEA DANCING:
Our next dance will be held on Sunday March 18th, 2.30pm with music by Pakie Moloney & Seamus Sheehy.
This dance will be held in conjunction with the Apostolic Society where we make a donation towards their missionary works.

GARDENING  CLASS:    We are ready to begin our Organic Gardening Classes in conjunction with County Limerick VEC, on Thursday 22nd March, 7.30pm to 9.30pm for eight weeks, cost approx twenty five euro.   Our tutor will be Dr. Sinead Neiland, An tIonad Glas, Drumcollogher.   I can still take a few more names, so if you are interested in growing your own, text me on 087-9139902 (Mary).

CHRISTY  KENNEALLY:
Rathkeale House Hotel, Wednesday March 28th, 8.00pm -  ' Hope in Dark Times '.    Christy is a very perceptive and humorous speaker. He engages easily with his audience and is highly entertaining while at the same time delivering the keynote messages eloquently and with impact.   He is a much in demand keynote and motivational speaker at conferences worldwide.

60K  CYCLE:   
If you would like to participate in the above cycle, it might be a good idea to start putting in a bit of training.!    Con Kelly, is one of the local organisers and his luminous jacket can be seen many an evening, on a road near you.   As the evenings get brighter we hope to see the rest of him.!   He was bit by the cycling bug, so decided to organise a fundraiser in aid of the Laura Lynn Hospice for sick children.   This will be held on Sunday 6th May.  Registration at Granagh Community Centre, between 9am and 10.30am, entry fee only €20.   Cycle at your own pace down Kilmacow onto Ballingarry, Croagh, Newcastle West and back to the Hall where refreshments will be served.   Names can be give to Con on 087-7419086 or Teresa Kelly on 087-7411775.
BRÓD CLUB:
If you would like to support Bernard Dunne's attempt to get 100,000 people to start using the little bit of Irish they have, then sign on  at  www.rte.ie/brodclub .   This week, he suggests using a bit of Gaeilge when sending texts.

Coffee Afternoon - 2.00pm to 4.00pm , at the home of Mary Morrissey, Meadowlands, Coolruss.  All funds in aid of Irish Cancer Society.
