GRANAGH NOTES - 6th & 7th Oct

COMMUNITY GAMES:


Draughts Training



Training commences for Draughts U/10s, U/12s and U/14s this Thursday 7th Oct, 2010 in the Supper Room Ballingarry.

As we have a huge amount of children eager to play draughts we have split the practice into two

Boys & Girls U/10: 7.00 pm to 7.45 pm

Boys & Girls U/12 & U/14: 7.45 pm to 8.30 pm

All children must be 7 years

We are also asking for parents of children taking part to stay and help out with supervision.



AGM

We will be holding our AGM on Wednesday the 13th Oct, 2010 in the Supper Room Ballingarry at 9.00 pm sharp.

If your child/children are living in the parish of Ballingarry/Granagh and wish to participate make it your business to

come along and help keep Community Games alive in the parish.

If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like to join, please contact Anne Higgins 087 9274241.

There was no winner in the lotto draw this week. Next Week's Jackpot is €8,150.

COFFEE FOR HOPE:

Saturday 16th, 11.00am - 2.00pm. Jim & Eileen Noonan, Kilmore.

Grainne is in transition year at present and they are planning a trip to Calcutta to aid the Hope Foundation's work there,

with the Street Children. They have to raise three thousand euro before going so this will be one of many events.

All welcome for a cuppa or two.



TEA DANCING:

The Development Association will be running the afternoon tea dancing again, beginning on Sunday 17th October, with

music by The Nightingales. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.



WILDLIFE TALK:

Ted Cooke will visit Broadford Wildlife Arboretum on Sunday 10th Oct, 2.30pm as part of the Village Festival.

It is located across the road from the Church.
